Why it matters
Structured data is what search engines build rich results from. No markup means no rich result, whatever the page ranks.
Valid markup makes a page eligible for rich results; it does not guarantee one. Google decides when to show them.
The page address is passed to validator.schema.org, which fetches the page itself.
